A new name, same old medicine

We’ve had a name change here at Classical Acupuncture Sydney!

The clinic, instagram, and facebook page will all be changed. Yes, we are still the home of classical acupuncture sydney, however, as we expand to include new people and in future new locations, we wanted to have a name that expresses what we truly do!

Body as Vessel: Cultivating, treating, and harnessing the bodily form as a vessel to greater health and wellbeing. This is through yangsheng, or nourishing life where movement, breathing, meditation training and more enable greater self connection and being.

Cup as Vessel: Herbal medicine and tea medicine. Chinese herbal medicine is a big part of our practice and hence the move away from just “classical acupuncture”. Dr. White and his future associates have a strong lasting relationship and practice of classical herbal medicine. Tea is also a huge portion of all aspects of traditional medicines, community, and mediations. Guided by cup and water, tea is an integral part of all cultivation practices.

Acupuncture as Vessel: Of course the primary purpose of acupuncture is the health and maintenance of the vessels. In Chinese medicine we have blood vessels (xuemai, 血脈), primary vessels, or the channels (jingmai 經脈), and secondary vessels (luomai 絡脈) among many more.
